Friday
Evening: You drive to our meeting point in a local pub. You’ll meet your Guides for the weekend. You will follow our team to a remote location that we won’t disclose and into the bothy that you’ll be staying in for the first night. To keep with the wilderness feel, all electronic communication devices should be turned off for the duration of the weekend.
Saturday
Morning: Breakfast will be cooked over an open fire started by your Guide, using locally sourced meats.
Late morning: You’ll pack your kit up with what you need and head away from your bothy.
Heading into the wilderness, your Guide will provide you with your navigation equipment and a route of where to go. At this point the Guide may leave you, It’s up to you to find your way to the next meeting point.
Lunch: As an incentive to get to your destination on time your Guide will have your food ready and warm.
Afternoon: You’ll head off on the second part of your day, moving to canoes to get around, paddling your way to an uninhabited island surrounded only by the sounds of the local wildlife. There are no toilets or showers to keep with being immersed into the wilderness.
Evening: As dusk sets in your Guide will introduce some bushcraft into the evening's events, meaning it’s down to your group to get a fire going to keep you warm and get your dinner cooking in the wild. To add to this relaxed setting we’ll have kegs from local breweries for you to quench your thirst whilst relaxing next to the crackling fire with the stars above.
Your bed for the evening is already set up in the form of hammocks, with a tarp to keep you dry and a fire to keep you warm, along with your sleeping bag.
Sunday
Morning:
Waking up as the sun rises with no alarms will energise you ready for your final day.
Late morning: Once everyone is packed up it’s time to move onto the next location. At this stage, it’s time to put what you’ve learned into practice. Your team will navigate off the island and leave the boats, walking to the final point in which you independently will build a shelter, start a fire and cook your lunch.
Afternoon:
You’ll be at the pick up point and your electronic devices will be returned to you. We return to either the pub or to your vehicles and you will be back into civilisation with possibly a new perspective on your life.
