This is my favourite places to visit in the world so far as with all countries that have not developed like ours, the people are what make it. The Nepalese are amazing people with true values and they know how to look after their guests.
The mountains of this country have something very special to offer, from views to challenge. There are 2 main areas we run our expeditions in; The Annapurna Area and The Everest Base Camp Area.
The expeditions in this country all tend to start off in the capital, after a long flight from the UK you come off the plane to meet our in country guides and UK staff who are there ahead of you to make sure all is ready.
Katmandu is a city that is mad with the hussel and bussel of a busy city it is a very fun place to shop for the expedition and also to people watch.
We will the have a meal with all the people who will be involved with the expedition and meet the team leaders. Then from here it starts with either a coach drive of a life time through Nepal or a very exiting flight on a small plane to the start point high in the Himalayas.
We then meet the rest of the team of porters and off we go. Slowly, slowly is the moto for the 1st few days if you want to enjoy it.
This is one of the most famous areas for mountaineering in Nepal with some of the world’s most challenging mountains. We will take you high in to the mountains of Nepal where we will aim to summit a peak of choice around 6000-7000 meters for that trip.
The mountain could be a trekking peak or a climbing peak depending on the team. The Annapurna circuit is a very special place and the villages we will see are different to any thing you can imagine. There are temples, monasteries, wildlife, yaks and much more to see during the walk up to the summit.
This is the most famous mountain area and the trek into the Everest base camp is one that will be a life time experience. Offering an enduring experience of natural beauty, geological magnificence and profound cross-cultural discovery it is an unforgetable adventure. For this trek we will primarily take you to the Everest Base Camp at an elevation of about 5,340m before scaling a peak of your choice of 6000-7000m. Highlights of this trek include spectacular mountain views including Everest, visiting picturesque Sherpa settlements, a view of the Khumbu Glacier and the opportunity to meet the very hospitable locals.
