The Mgoune Wilderness Hike (Grade 1A/B).


YOUR OUTLINE ITINERARY

Your itinerary will include a brief description of our trip and an outline of your stays and meals provided. We normally only provide a breakfast at any of our city stop over locations as it gives you the opportunity to vary your cuisine by not being tied to a hotel menu. However where we think your culinary choice is limited we have included additional lunches or evening meals. We can provide full board trips on request i.e. through personal choice or if any person has any special dietary needs.

mwt 1Day 1: MARRACKECH - ARRIVAL DAY. (Ri)

You will be met in the airport and be driven to your riad in exciting Marrakech.

Day 2: IMLIL - DRIVE TO IMLIL VILLAGE. (Ri/B/D)

Drive to the quaint mountain village of Imlil in the Atlas mountains where you will meet your local guide.

Day 3 to 12: ATLAS MOUNTAINS - WILDERNESS HIKE. (10XT/B/L/D)

Here over the next ten days you will have a mule supported trek across the valleys of Bougmez, Ait Boully, Tassaout, the canyon of Wandrasse, the high plateau of Tarkeddite, the Summit of Mgoune (4068m), the valleys of Oulimt and Ouzirmt, the Mgoune Canyon (Achaabou) and finish by the valley of Roses. We will then have dinner and spend the night at the camp. During the trek you will wild camp every night.

Day 13: OUARZAZATE - REST DAY. (Ri/B/L/D)mwt 2

Drive to Ouarzazate, rest and relax after your trek.

Day 14: MARRAKECH - DRIVE BACK TO MARRAKECH. (Ri/B)

Drive back to Marrakech where you can have some time to shop and enjoy the city.

Day 15: MARRAKECH - DEPARTURE DAY. (B)

We will take you to the airport for your departure flight for the UK.


Trip Summary

On our trips we include transport to and from the airport on arrival and departure, all transportation or travel in country including any internal domestic flights, all hotel and trekking lodge accommodation, a dedicated AB leader and all in country guides and porters, any park, mountain fees or permits and any sightseeing/tourist entry fees, Breakfasts at all hotel stays will be provided but lunches and dinners will only be provided where indicated. All meals will be provided during the duration of any trek or climb.

All booked activities and the use of any group equipment such as tents, cooking equipment are included but any additional activities booked with our in country providers will be subject to an additional surcharge.

Food and accommodation breakdown

Riad = 4 nights, Tents = 10 nights (14 total) .

Breakfasts = 14 , Lunches = 0, Packed Lunches = 10, Dinners = 2 (36 meals out of a possible 41 meals).
