Our sea kayaking trips in South West Wales are just simply superb and we are ideally placed to introduce you to the joys of coastal exploration. You will amble along at your own pace marvelling at the stunning views of Britain's only coastal national park whilst you mingle and enjoy the wildlife above, beside and below you as the coastline changes with every paddle stroke. When the weather kicks up we can take advantage of the natural harbours and havens in the area to escape the pressures of the weather to ensure you enjoy your introduction to sea kayaking.
The seas around Wales also has some of the greatest tidal ranges in the world. That along with our rocky, reef filled coastline and changeable weather ensures we can get down to it and have some fun. When the waves are working we will be busy at surfing some great waves - come and join us in West Wales for a superb sea kayaking experience.
Our introductory sessions are a great way to try this amazing sport.
Welcome to Pembrokeshire! The only coastal national park in the UK, and we know the best way to see it. Sea kayaking is simply the best way to visit all the little bays, caves, inlets and reefs of this internationally important coastal environment.
Due to the ease of paddling and the quietness of the boat we are able to see much more wildlife than you would on power boat trips. The boats are comfortable and easy to paddle and have a good amount of storage built in so we can even stay out for a few days if that is what you want to do?
Cardigan bay is an area rich in wildlife, geology and history. As we paddle round this bay you will be able to see why it used to be a haven for smugglers in days gone by. If the weather is good we may even be able to paddle around the Cardigan Island.
Day 1: Introduction to the sea kayak and basic paddling skills before we get going and paddle out into Cardigan bay.
Day 2: The early bird catches the worm, so it's up early to continue the trip. After a light breakfast we'll trail mackerel lines behind us to catch lunch. As we are now sea paddlers we aim to get more distance for the last day.
Note: Accommodation will depend what you pick from our accommodation option below.
This trip will take us around the coast of Pembrokeshire, during the 4 days we have a good chance of covering between 60 – 80 KM of the coastline. What a way to see this beautiful area!.
The accommodation can be a choice of any from our accommodation options depending on time of year and how adventurous you are.
How many other people can wear the T shirt and have the picture you will have?
During the trip:
This is a trip where we paddle to a remote beach and then set up camp where we land, then we hope to have caught some interesting food during the day to eat in camp. If we can find drift wood then a fire is also a nice way to spend the evening.
The coastal path has a lot of good YHA and private hostels around the coastline. We can paddle from one to the other, pull the boats to a safe place and then have a nice warm night with all the luxuries of home.
The coast of Pembrokeshire is full of accommodation from log cabins to campsites with swimming pools, so we could use any other available accommodation.
