The feeling of freedom and acheivement is addictive, as is the challenge of taking the weather head on in the mountains to get to the summit.Adventure Beyond has varied experience of leading and hiking in the hills and mountains in all areas of the UK, the Alps (EU), Pyrenees (EU), The Rockies (US), The Southern Alps (NZ) and the Atlas Mountains (Morocco) and of course the Himalayas.We offer both fully guided walking sessions all over the country so please contact us if you have a specific area in mind. We are able to develop the following skills for you and your group;- Basic navigation using map and compass.- Route planning and the use of route cards. - Group Management.- Night Navigation.- Hazards and Weather.- Camp Craft.Many youth organisations are now involved with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, which requires expedition experience for all levels. A hill walking expedition ususally features in one or more stages of the award for most applicants and we are able to provide award specific D of E training and assessment at all levels. We are also able to offer support and assessments for the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) and awards such as the Walking Group Leader (WGL) and Mountain Leader Awards (ML).
