Gorge walking combines our experience of rivers and rock into an activity which our clients come back for time after time. If you want a wet and wild day out then this is for you, by going with the flow we'll hit every feature on the river, including rapids, waterfalls, canyons, gullies, slabs and match that will a fun jump, swim, squeeze, duck, float or scramble.
We'll meet you at the venue where we'll kit you up with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet and your experienced guide will give you all the instructions and safety advice for the activity. After a short walk in to the start, we'll get really wet but dont worry, we supply good quality winter wetsuits to keep you toasty. All our challenges vary due to river/rainfall levels, but we have a wide range of venues to choose from so we can provide you with the ideal venue to suit the needs of your group - with rivers ranging from serene to white and wild!
Gorge walking is a fantastic way to learn about the river environment - our sites are ecologically important rivers and your guide will be on hand to show you it's social and natural history. This activity makes an excellent alternative geography field trip for school and college groups. Our minimum age is 8, and you will be required to bring your own footwear, old trainers are ideal, a towel and dry, warm clothes to change into afterwards.
