Grade 1. An introduction.
Short distance, small waves, easy optional jumps, plenty of wildlife to see and join. Ideal for young children and families. We will make the trip work for your group and keep the adventure in your comfort zone.
Grade 2. The next step. On to jumps that might make the heart speed up! A sea swell which will test the balance. Caves and good swims, all designed for a second attempt at coasteering or those of you who want that immediate challenge.
Grade 3. Wet wild and thrilling fun. (We would advise you to have completed at least one of the lower level coasteering trips before attempting this one.) Good fun!! White waves, challenging scrambles, big jumps and caves. This is the limit of commercial coasteering and will challenge the best of you.
Swirling toilets (will you be flushed or become a floater), can you make that step off the jump.
What will the stories be in the pub or on the sofa that night?
Grade 4. Exploration. The aim is to cover the longest distance possible with your group. You will experience all levels of coasteering on this adventure and you will need to have completed at least two of the previous coasteering trips. After this coasteering course you will probably find out the true reason why the smugglers used this part of the welsh coastline.
This is a full day trip thus you will need to be fit and have energy to do it.
The cost is a very interesting and important place to us all. The exploration of the coast and what lives there is good fun, very educational, and an experience that will stick with you for life.
We will make our way round the coast on the tide line, during the trip we will study what lives there, how it lives, what it eats.
We will carry a water proof camera with us so that on our return to the centre that evening we can then identify the species and find out more about them.
We will look at the human impact on the sea to learn how we may best do our part to protect this for the future and for the species that live there.
WHAT A CLASSROOM!
Adventure beyond has been coasteering for over 12 years and the senior staff have been with us for the whole journey. During that time we have been coasteering all over theUK and in other location over the world.
Every site is different and has its own challenges to add to the activity.
There is no governing body for coasteering so we have been working with other outdoor centres in the area of Pembrokeshire where commercial coasteering started to put together the best training for the job.
